Port Phillip Boating Centre are the Yamaha dealer you always hoped existed.

After numerous attempts (by other dealers) at fixing a demonstrable, and repeatable warranty issue with my 200 Yamaha 4 stroke, I was ready to give up and try to fix it myself. A friend suggested I try Port Phillip Boating Centre so I did.

Right from the first phone call, I could tell they wanted to help, and in the end I drove around the bay to drop the boat off. When I picked it up, they had attended to the (expensive) warranty issue at no cost to me, and serviced the boat. They did an exceptional job, and as long as they continue with this level of service, I will always sing their praises. All I can say is thanks, and if you have an issue with your Yamaha, go there even if it’s a bit of a drive. It’s well worth it.

Decided it was time to repower my tinny with a 40hp Yamaha 4 stroke. Trawled (pardon the pun) the web looking for Yamaha dealers and PPBC had lots of good reviews and was only half an hours drive away so decided to give them a try. From the first email I sent the service was excellent. Everything was explained in detail from the start.

I received phone calls on the progress of the fit up and also some recommendations. On picking the boat up everything was again explained in detail and nothing was too much of an issue for them.

All of the staff were very friendly and you feel like part of the family when dealing with them. Very happy with the new motor fit up and I will definitely be taking the boat back there for servicing.

I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Had an issue with my 60hp Yamaha 4 stroke not peeing and appeared to smoke and overheat at the boat ramp.
Took the boat in to PPBC and yep you guessed it, the impeller was shredded.
PPBC fixed it in a few days, did the service it should have had over the past three years, replaced the thermostat and fixed some issues with the trailer, all for $1300.
I’m no boat expert but that seemed reasonable to me, staff were friendly and helpful, were happy to answer questions even though they were busy, would highly recommend!

Wanting to give HUGE shout out to Phil, for the absolute outstanding job he preformed on my trailer! The Dunbier trailer I have originally had Teflon skids, causing harsh scratching to the gelcoat, he changed them to Carpet bunks which were double the length allowing better stability of the boat on the trailer, he even went further at his own accord to lower the remaining side skids next to rollers and filed them down, no sharp points, And went even further and raised the tilt on my Yamaha engine!! Very impressed and happy, thanks for taking the time with all that work Phil, appreciate it, and thanks to Alison with the help of setting everything up and getting the ball rolling! I Highly recommend anyone taking their boat to Port Phillip for ANY boating needs!😉👍
